Straight lines

road-1034082_960_720

They’ve gorgeous wings
All but trimmed;
So, they fly straight down
From top to bottom.

They are trained to fly
From top to bottom,
and, beauty they do see
Only in straight lines
From top to bottom.

See how drones often fly,
Sideways, freely they fly;
Round and round they fly;
From top to bottom
Or back to top they fly.

So, never trim my wings
For I can’ fly steep down;
Round and round I’ll fly,
Or as freely as drones fly.

  1. They have gorgeous wings
    Trained to fly from high to low
    And beauty to see,
    In straight lines.

    Drones fly sideways or
    Round,
    From top to bottom.

    I ask you not to trim my wings,
    Because I can’t fly straight down.
    Nor fly around or as freely.

    I think the point you are trying to make is that drones, a new invention, intrusive, move up and down and along straight lines. They fly sideways and around. You sense the freedom lost to the watchful eye. You no longer can fly around nor be as free?

    I like the journey I took first narrowing down and summing up your points, then thinking about what points you had made. It is not at first glance what one might think. Thank you.
