You attribute human emotions to the old boat. It draws comfort from the company of others, as do we all. You might like the poetry of Lance Sheridan lancesheridan.com. He, too, writes about boats and the sea.

Nicely attributed human emotions to a boat and I see myself in the lonely boat and the waves and rocks are like times when I am totally down or locked and the other boats in same situation and sea are like the wordpress community in the company of whom I found my solace….thanks for sharing such a communicating poem.
